Alex Morgan Scores the Fastest Goal in US History


US forward Alex Morgan scored just 12 seconds into the women’s Olympic qualifier against Costa Rica Wednesday night.

Shortly after the kickoff, Morgan slotted the ball past the keeper to etch her name into the record books as the fastest scorer in US history.

The United States would go on to easily cruise 5-0 past the Costa Ricans to start their qualifying campaign.

Alex Morgan was responsible for another goal in the 62nd minute, with Lloyd, Dunn, and Press adding to the tally.
