Former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey appeared for the first time in a television interview since her defeat to Holly Holm at UFC 193.
Rousey appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked about her first loss since joining the UFC. A few minutes into the conversation she broke down when asked how she was feeling after the fight.
Rousey admitted that she had suicidal thoughts after the loss in November.
Later, Rousey claimed that she stayed alive so that she could have children with her “man” Travis Browne.
“”What am I anymore if I’m not this? And I was literally sitting there, like, thinking about killing myself.”
“To be honest, I looked up and saw my man, Travis was standing there. I’m looking up at him and was just like, I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.”
Fortunately, Rousey seems to be in a better state of mind now, and says she is preparing for her next fight (with Holly Holm, of course), where she hopes to “make everything right again”.
