Things went downhill fast for the LA Clippers.
After taking a 2-0 lead in the first round series against the Trailblazers, everything seemed to go wrong for Doc Rivers and his players. In the past week, we learned that both Chris Paul and Blake Griffon would be out for an extended period of time.
Portland capitalized on LA’s misfortunes and quickly took the 3-2 lead in the series. Tonight, the Blazers had a chance to close out the series against a crippled Clippers team.
And they did…after the Clippers suffered ANOTHER injury. This time, however, it was pretty gruesome.
Halfway through the first quarter, Austin Rivers suffered a nasty elbow blow to the face after going for a rebound that left him delirious and bloody. Rivers (understandably) had to go to the locker room to get a pair of stitches. Watch the video of the incident below.
