Before any picks were made in the first round of Thursday’s NFL draft there was already plenty to talk about. Several top prospects made fashion statements on the red carpet before the draft got underway, but none were as bold as OSU’s Ezekiel Elliot.
The star running back was known in college for his unique midriff-baring crop top jersey, and he carried that over to the draft on Thursday in a very… interesting way. Elliot chose not to abandon his signature style and rocked a crop top suit that exposed his stomach in the same way his Ohio state jerseys did.

Elliot’s outfit may have been an attention grabber, but he made his real mark on the draft when he was taken by the Dallas Cowboys with the fourth overall pick. A pair of quarterbacks were taken one and two, with the Rams selecting Jared Goff and the Eagles going with Carson Wentz. Elliot’s Ohio State teammate, Joey Bosa, was taken by the Chargers with the third pick.
Hopefully Elliot enjoys his crop top wearing days while they last, because I don’t think he’ll be getting away with that in the NFL. They don’t call it the No Fun League for nothing.
