Skip Bayless Is Making A Career Change

ESPN announced on Tuesday that longtime on-air personality Skip Bayless will be leaving the network when his contract expires in August. ESPN’s statement was brief and provided few details:

“Skip Bayless has decided to leave ESPN when his contract expires at the end of August.

His final appearance on First Take will be the day after the NBA Finals conclude.

We want to thank Skip for his many contributions to ESPN. His hard work and talent have benefited ESPN for 12 years.”

I’m sure there must be some Skip Bayless fans out there that are heartbroken, but I certainly don’t know any of them. Never have I seen a supposed “expert” get made a fool of on air so often, yet still have such shocking confidence in his ridiculous opinions.

There are plenty of great Skip Bayless moments out there that I encourage you to browse, but here’s one of my all time favorites:

As much as it pains me to say it, it looks like Bayless will have the last laugh in the end. According to Deadspin, Bayless is likely to join Fox Sports for “$5 million or so per year.”

I guess it pays to be a loudmouth after all.

What do you think?
